Afternoon tea scones

INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour
1 oz sugar
2 oz margarine
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup currants or raisins

METHOD
Combine dry ingredients.
Rub in margarine.
Add fruit.
Stir in buttermilk.
Turn on floured board.
Roll out 1/2 inch thick.
Cut in circles.
Bake in preheated oven at 400oF 12 to 14 minutes.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS
I enjoy these healthy cookies with a nice cup of tea and a daydream of my young days in Ireland.
