I am a
multi-instrumentalist and singer with 20 years of playing and teaching
experience. I graduated
from Concordia University in Jazz Studies, where I pursued electric and
double bass. I followed my ears up the register to electric and acoustic
guitar, bouzouki, tenor banjo and mandolin. I have been
interested in celtic music since 1995, when I began to play in Irish
pubs in Montreal. It was there that I heard and was influenced by Sean
Dagher, Brendan Nolan, Gerry O'Neill, Dave Gossage, Jonathan Moorman,
John Showman, and Kirk McGeachy. I play over
200 gigs a year around the Irish pub circuit in Montreal, as well as
private and corporate functions. I played guitar and mandolin for the Québecois
gigue-dancers Reel et Macadam and Les Bons Diables at several dance
festivals in Canada and Europe with Jonathan Moorman and Fred Graham. I
played mandolin, banjo and electric guitar at several Irish festivals in
America with the Peelers.
I also teach guitar, mandolin, bass and drums privately and at
Jimi's Music in NDG. |
